Studio Apartment
A spacious, industrial open plan studio, with a high ceiling, exposed piping and brick work. Our client wished for a sanctuary, a temple amidst a natural landscape. They were inspired by an apothecary style kitchen, akin to a witches' den, modern furniture yet brutalist in style, and with elements of simplicity found in Japanese style interior.
We considered Venetian plaster walls to create natural composition, contrasted with oak for richness in tone. Linen drapes were added, creating separation, whilst achieving an ethereal ambience. The mezzanine was transformed into a walk-in closet, featuring LED strips to add atmospheric lighting. In the kitchenette we introduced a dining space, a slate worktop with matching backsplash and a natural ceiling installation, designed and forged by the client.
